These six board members—three Italian, two American—anchor Campo de’ Fiori Publishing with a realistic blend of editorial, legal, marketing, and international expertise.

Allegra Vitale – Editorial Director (Rome)

A graduate of La Sapienza with a master’s in comparative literature, Allegra spent a decade at Rizzoli Libri, where she shepherded translated fiction onto the Italian market. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, she now steers Campo de’ Fiori’s acquisitions list, balancing debut Italian voices with international free-thought essays.

Boone Abernathy – Chair (New York City)

Boone began his career as a copy editor at Farrar, Straus and Giroux. Holding an MFA from Columbia, he brings 25 years of big-house experience, a deep rights-sale network, and an advocate’s eye for author contracts. He divides his time between Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley.

Ginevra Mancini – Director of Translations & Cultural Outreach (Florence)

Trained as a historian at the University of Bologna, Ginevra translated works by Elena Ferrante, Jhumpa Lahiri, and Ocean Vuong before joining Campo de’ Fiori.

Dante Bishop III – Legal Counsel & Strategic Partnerships (Chicago)

A J.D. from Northwestern and former senior associate at an IP-focused law firm, Dante specializes in copyright, subsidiary rights, and digital licensing. He joined the board after negotiating Campo de’ Fiori’s first North American distribution agreement.

Tomaso “Toto” Bellini – Director of Marketing & International Rights (Perugia)

With a background in global brand management for an Umbrian wine consortium, Tomaso pivoted to publishing in 2018, completing executive programs at both SDA Bocconi and Frankfurt Book Fair’s Rights Training Centre.
